STORAGE TIPS & CONDITIONS
When planning to store items, please keep the following tips in mind:
-
Keep a space in the unit to allow access to the rear of the storage unit so you can reach everything
-
Mark all containers and bins so you know what’s in them at a glance
-
Concrete and metal can sweat due to climate conditions; it’s recommended to keep all items on pallets to create an air barrier between your belongings and the concrete floor
-
Plastic boxes are preferred, and mattresses and furniture should be wrapped to protect against moisture and dust
-
Open your storage doors occasionally to allow fresh air to circulate throughout your unit
-
Storing antiques and other valuables that may be prone to damage due to changing humidity conditions is not recommended, unless precautions are taken to properly preserve the items
-
Do not put wrap or plywood on the floor; this will trap moisture
-
Pallets provided for storage at no cost
-
No food of any kind can be stored
-
No flammables or dangerous goods of any kind can be stored
-
Absolutely NO GARAGE SALES - entry to the facility is secured and restricted.
